Firefighters tackled a penthouse apartment blaze that spread onto the roof of a six-storey building in RadfordSeven fire engines were called to a block of flats called Raleigh Square in Raleigh Street at 3pm on Tuesday. The road was cordoned off as firefighters scaled the building on an aerial platform ladder to fight the flames.Fire engines from London Road, Stockhill, Arnold, Stapleford, Highfields and Carlton were on the scene, as well as a number of police officers.
