Former Nottingham Forest striker Stan Collymore says he was tear-gassed by French police as he filmed the unfolding violence in Marseille. The player turned pundit streamed footage live to Periscope on Saturday night in the aftermath of England's 1-1 draw against Russia. Collymore was in the Vieux Port district when he filmed fans fleeing. He said approximately 300 local youths had chased down England supporters as an organised group with police responding forcefully.
