A serious fire at a garage in Nottingham was the third major blaze to have occurred in the same street in less than a year. Crews from Stockhill, Arnold and London Road stations were called to High Church Street, in New Basford, at 5.15pm on Friday (May 5). Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service told The Post that the blaze was in a garage that is used for vehicle restoration. At the height of the fire, thick black smoke could be seen billowing into the sky from as far as Clifton.
