laurahammond published Nottingham's Penny Briscoe made OBE by Prince Charles

A former international canoeist who led the Paralympics GB team in Rio has been made an OBE by Prince Charles. Penny Briscoe received the honour during an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace on Friday, February 17. She tweeted after the ceremony to say that she had "a fabulous day" and that she felt "proud" to receive the honour.
Penny, of Gamston, was recognised in the New Year's Honour's List and has received the OBE on top of the MBE she was awarded in 2013.Read...
