A busy Bank Holiday weekend saw Nottinghamshire's firefighters rescue at least seven people from fires.Crews were called to four major building fires over Saturday (May 27) and Sunday (May 28) - including one that saw five people be rescued from a block of flats in Ilkeston.Initially, John Street was cordoned off on Saturday night after reports of a blaze on the edge of the town centre.A picture from the scene (above) shows a fire engine in the street and the road cordoned off.An ambulance also.
