Detectives in Newark are investigating an attempted robbery after a woman was pushed to the ground in the street.The incident happened on Stodman Street, at the corner of Marks and Spencer's and Costa Coffee shortly after 10.30am on Monday.A man attempted to grab the woman's handbag whilst she was walking along the street, knocking her to the floor.The man then ran away without the handbag, and was last seen heading towards Lombard Street.
