A lane and the hard shoulder has been closed on the M1 shortly after junction 26. The crash happened on the northbound carriageway shortly after 1pm, when a car crashed into the central reservation. A spokesman for the Highways England said: "One lane was closed but it is not causing any congestion. "A car crashed into the central reservation and is now awaiting recovery.
