The wet weather blighting the county is expected to continue on Sunday, although some bright spells will develop. Light winds will blow away the early clouds bringing a band a persistent rain by the early afternoon. Later on the wind will increase and will be gusty in place. The maximum temperature is expected to each nine degrees, and the rain will slowly clear during the evening. Nottingham is expected to escape any further wet weather until Thursday.
