JonPritchard published M1 closed in both directions due to large lorry fire

Both carriageways of the M1 have been closed following a large lorry fire. The blaze was reported shortly after 1pm and CCTV images show the vehicle almost totally consumed by flames. Delays are expected to last until around rush hour. A spokesman for the Highways Agency said the closures, between junction 28 and 29, near Sutton-in-Ashfield, were causing delays of up to 30 minutes.
