JonPritchard published Lane closed on major Notts road due to broken down crane

One lane was closed for more than four hours on a major Nottinghamshire road due to a broken down crane. The machine broke down while travelling on the A1 near Tuxford and caused tailbacks as far back as Newark. A spokesman for Highways Agency said: "It happened at 10.50am and recovery was taking place from about 1pm.
