JonPritchard published Green light given to Queen's Medical Centre helipad
Helicopters could soon be landing at Queen's Medical Centre after plans to build a helipad on a new car park were given the go-ahead.
Nottingham City Council's planning committee agreed unanimously to give the green light to plans to build a 650-space car park, complete with helipad on the roof.
The QMC says the helipad would allow people to be transported to the East Midlands Major Trauma Centre, based at the hospital, much faster, saving up to 20 minutes.
