A statue of one of Nottinghamshire's most famous sons has been stolen from a park.The four-foot statue of Lord Byron, who lived at Newstead Abbey, was stolen from Godmersham Park near Ashford, Kent.Kent Police said the solid marble piece, worth around £10,000 is extremely heavy and would have needed a number of people to remove it from the park.It was stolen some time between midnight and 5am on April 20.
