A man has suffered injuries after a fire at his home in Southwell. Three fire engines rushed to the scene on Metcalfe Close on Monday just before 3pm.There had been a small kitchen fire, but it was out by the time the crews from Newark, Carlton and Edwinstowe arrived.However, the 88-year-old man suffered from "a medical emergency" and East Midlands Ambulance Service treated him at the scene.
