Unique fine dining restaurant Kayal introduced Nottingham to the concept of Kerala cuisine in 2007 – and has now been awarded the Post's Indian Restaurant of the Year accolade.
The Post's deputy editor Charles Walker presented the sub-continental eatery with the honour yesterday.
Ligo Jose, the restaurant manager, said: "It's good to bring this authentic cuisine to Britain and establish it in another part of the world. I'm glad Nottingham is accepting of our food."
