Traffic chaos gripped Nottingham on Saturday - as protesters took to the streets. A large police presence was spotted in Canal Street, near the Broadmarsh Centre, at about 2pm as they tried to hold off protesters from cars stuck in the traffic. Some of the boards said "no to the Nazis" and "unity against the austerity agenda" but it is not yet clear what the protesters were demonstrating against.
