A gang of 10 people have today been sentenced to a combined total of more than 80 years in prison following an armed robbery in Newark. Four men entered Andrew Michael's jewellers, in Stodman Street, with hammers and a shotgun just before 5pm on January 6, 2015. They stole around £250,000 worth of watches and jewellery. As they were about to escape, they were confronted by two off-duty Lincolnshire police officers who had heard the commotion. The officers tried to stop the offenders....
