JemmaPage published Nottingham's Emett Clock celebrates its 43rd birthday

The Emett Clock has stood in the Victoria Centre since 1973. It was created by designer Rowland Emett, who also made the machines in the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and was installed in the shopping centre on February 20. Since its installation it had lost bits, changed colour and some parts no longer worked but it has always retained its place in the hearts of many Nottingham people.
