Nottingham's swanky £6.6 million cystic fibrosis centre will soon be celebrating its first anniversary after a successful 12 months.On April 28, 2014, the state-of-the-art centre opened its doors – and it has since seen more than 176 patients.The first patient to experience the purpose-built hub, at Nottingham City Hospital, was 25-year-old Sam Deakin.The Carlton resident has to stay in the centre for two weeks every six weeks for a course of intravenous antibiotics.She said:...
