The grounds of Newark Castle have been closed as a safety precaution due to high winds. The landmark was shut on Saturday at about 2.30pm due to the weather and loose scaffolding, and has remained closed ever since. A spokeswoman said: "Due to high winds and loose scaffolding, Newark Castle grounds will be closed as a safety precaution until further notice."
