Green's Windmill is in the process of having two of its sails replaced – for the first time since it reopened in 1985.An inspection at the restored and working 19th-Century tower windmill, in Sneinton, in April last year revealed two of its four sails had started rotting.The sails were originally installed following the building's renovation on July 6, 1985 – almost 100 years after it was abandoned following the death of George Green, the man who built the windmill in.
