JemmaPage commented Traffic chaos in Nuthall due to M1 closure and roadworks

Traffic is heavily congested in Nuthall due to the M1 being closed – and it is set to get even worse with roadworks taking place this evening. Nuthall Road is currently bumper-to-bumper as traffic diverts off junction 26 of the motorway, which was fully closed at around 5pm. Firefighters shut the southbound carriageway of the M1 between junctions 26 and 25 due to an unsafe overhead gantry. Two northbound lanes were also closed, but reopened 25 minutes later.
