About 300 people were evacuated from a train which was travelling from Nottingham to London. Passengers were told to leave the 5.05pm East Midlands Trains service from Nottingham to London St Pancras a few minutes after it pulled into Leicester station because of a "fire" in one of the carriages. Police arrived at the scene immediately and the entire train was told to leave the platform following consultation with station staff.
