Emergency gas works on a major city centre road will continue this weekend - and could cause more delays.National Grid engineers, who have been carrying out the works in Canal Street, had previously said they would continue "until at least the end of this week".But they have now confirmed they will be ongoing during Saturday and Sunday.Once finished the road will be resurfaced.They are now expecting the work to be completed by the middle of next week.
