HannahMitch published Fallen tree caused M1 chaos this afternoon

A fallen tree blocked one lane on the M1 northbound this afternoon - causing heavy delays for almost an hour. High winds and bad weather uprooted the tree between junction 24A for East Midlands Airport and junction 25 for the A52 Brian Clough Way. One lane was closed while the emergency services cleared the area, causing traffic to build and heavy delays.
