GemmaToulson published East Midlands Airport: Best year for cargo freight

East Midlands Airport saw its best year ever for cargo in 2014, handling more freight than any other period in its 49 year history.Last year 308,935 tonnes of flown cargo was handled, up 3.6 per cent, or 10,729 tonnes, on 2013's volume.The record-breaking volume of freight is the same weight in tonnes equivalent to 41,191 double-decker buses.
