EllieCullen published Hate crimes up by nearly 20 per cent in Nottinghamshire

Hate crimes rocketed by 20 per cent in the last year in Nottinghamshire.There were a total of 832 offences of verbal abuse, intimidation and physical attacks on people because of the colour of their skin, their religion, disability or sexuality in 2014-15.This compares to 696 the previous year and means there are now more than two reported incidents every day in the county.The figures have been released this week to mark national hate crime week, which ends on Saturday – to raise awareness
