East Midlands Ambulance Service has defended itself after a report suggested it was using a loophole in regulations to record faster response times to 999 calls.The report from a Freedom of Information request said that between June 2012 and December 2015, EMAS had recorded 30,260 Category A calls which it had responded to in less than ten seconds.
