The Met Office has extended its weather warning for strong winds by a day.
Gusts are now expected to hit the county on Friday. The Met Office says that some travel disruption is likely, with localised problems for high-sided vehicles on prone routes. The warning will be in place from 5pm on Friday and will continue to 6am on Sunday. A Met Office spokesman said: "Southwesterly winds will gust 45-55 mph quite widely across the area, with the risk of more than 70 mph on coasts and hills....
