DanRussell published School gets freshly prepared meals for the first time ever
Soggy and greasy school dinners are a thing of the past at a city school after more than 60 years.Nearly £250,000 has been spent at Djanogly Strelley Academy, installing a new kitchen and updating the furniture.The school in Helston Drive, Strelley, can now provide hot and healthy food for all 408 students.Head of school Tim Jeffs said: "This school is nearly 63 years old and this is the first time we have been able to cook meals on site."For us it is an historic moment as...
