Children at a city centre school pulled on red noses and raised their voices for charity.

Pupils at Hollygirt School sang the Red Nose Day song, sold cakes and made funny faces for Comic Relief.

They spent the last two weeks learning the lyrics to the song which will be heard in school halls across the country on Friday.

George McLeod, 10, of Year 5, said: "We want to help children like us in poor countries who don't have anything.

"The money we raise will be used to help give.
