DanRussell published Fire service called to Ilkeston home to tackle blaze

Firefighters were called to a blaze at a house in Ilkeston.The fire started at around 10am on Sunday at a semi-detached home in Heanor Road.The crew from the town's fire station used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to put out the flames.The home which was heavily smoke-logged was ventilated by the service.It is unknown if anyone was evacuated from the building.The incident was brought under control by 1.30pm.
