Nottinghamshire County Council is spending more than £5,142 per day on taxis, figures have shown.In total £1.8 million per year is spent on transport for the over the 16's. The majority of the taxi journeys are requested by the Adult Social Care team and commissioned by the council's transport team.However, the authority said it was not possible to breakdown the costs to individuals and their journeys.
