Internet banking users in the East Midlands put away four times the amount of money saved by those who don't have online financial accounts, according to a new report. The Lloyds Bank Consumer Digital Index shows that the average monthly deposit made by the region's savers not using online tools is £21 – £252 per year. This leaps to £89 per month – or £1,068 each year – for those who have "high digital capability".
