DanRobinson published Children find out how to make bricks at manufacturing site
Building materials supplier Forterra welcomed a group of children to its Nottinghamshire factory to find out how bricks are made. Staff from the firm gave 30 pupils from Nottingham's Rise Park Primary School a tour of the brickworks in Kirton, near Ollerton. Sixty people are employed at the site, which produces more than 250,000 bricks each day, most of which are used to build new homes.
