BenIreland published Road closed after car hits tree in Basford

Valley Road has been closed after a car hit a tree this morning, leaving huge delays to traffic near the City Hospital.

Police were called to the scene, at the junction with Ventnor Rise, at 11.30am on March 19 and cordoned off the road.

Traffic was stopped at the roundabout with Hucknall Road and the 53 bus route has been diverted.

Police said the male driver has since made his way out of the vehicle and are not treating the incident suspiciously.

They hope to have the road fully open..
