BenIreland published Kitten and hamster killed in Toton house fire

A kitten and a hamster have both died in a house fire in Toton.Firefighters could not save the animals after the blaze broke out in the bedroom of a house in Chetwynd Road at around 5.45pm on Sunday, July 12.The bedroom was "severely damaged" by the flames, according to Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue.Three crews were called to the scene and used a nine-metre ladder, among other equipment, to tackle the fire.
