The Office of Rail Regulation is prosecuting a former rail worker after a track worker died when he was hit by a train.John Wright, 49, was hit by a passenger train and killed as it approached Newark North Gate station at 11.34am on January 22, 2014.He was airlifted to hospital but died from his injuries nine days later, on January 31.A preliminary hearing is due to take place at Nottingham Crown Court in March.A spokesperson for the Office Of Rail Regulation (ORR) said:...
