BenIreland published Floods hit Nottinghamshire as rain hammers down across county

Parts of Nottinghamshire have been flooded as a result of heavy rain - days after the hottest day of the year so far. Loughborough Road, in West Bridgford, is under inches of water as cars trudge through. And Waverley Avenue, in Gedling, has also been hit as water from the Ouse Dyke has risen from the drains - a recurring problem for residents in heavy rain. Residents said the floods, seen below, took place after just half an hour of rainfall.
