BenIreland commented Decision over 'unacceptable' 5p rise in school meals cost delayed

PARENTS must wait to hear whether they will have to pay 5p more per day for their children's school meals.A decision to increase the price by 75p per week, or £9.50 every year, was deferred after members of Nottinghamshire County Council's personnel committee asked for more information on Wednesday, January 21.School meals increased by 10p in April 2014 and, if approved, the 5p rise would be introduced after this year's Easter break.The Conservative group at the council vowed to vote.
