Sales of prosecco are outstripping those of champagne for the first time ever in Britain.According to new research released this week, sales of the bubbly wine have increased by 72 per cent in the year to mid-July.The value of prosecco is now worth £399 million to the British economy which is an increase of £142 million, according to US firm IRI.The sharp rise in sales of the fashionable beverage is in marked contrast to that of champagne which saw an increase of just 1.2 per cent...
