Top Tory Eric Pickles said he looked at the idea of shaking up the number of councils in Nottinghamshire – but rowed back from the plan.The communities secretary was at the NG2 Business Park on Monday meeting with staff from the Local Enterprise Partnership.And in response to a question about whether he thought there were too many councils in Nottinghamshire, Mr Pickles said there was probably a "more efficient way of doing it".Nottinghamshire has seven district councils as well.
