Labour leader Ed Miliband has said a "fairer approach" to council funding will be a priority if he is elected Prime Minister.
Mr Miliband was speaking at the Local Government Association Labour group conference at the East Midlands Conference Centre on Saturday.
Both Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County councils have said they feel discriminated against by Government when it comes to funding.
The city has said its funding has been cut in half since 2010/11 compared to a national.
