The Mercury has won plaudits at the Midlands Media Awards.Deputy business editor Lauren Mills and photographer Chris Gordon were both highly commended, while sports reporter James Sharpe was shortlisted for a major award.Lauren was highly commended in the Business Journalist of the Year category at Thursday's ceremony, held at The Birmingham Repertory Theatre.It comes 15 months after joining the Mercury as deputy business editor, having previously worked as editor of the Source blog for the Wall
