Eight fire engines rush to house fire in Stanmore

Around 60 firefighters have been called to a house fire on London Road in Stanmore this evening.
London Fire Brigade said eight fire engines were sent to the scene, with crews responding to the incident on Monday evening (17 August).
The fire is understood to be on London Road, close to Stanmore station and the junction with Brockley Hill.
A map shared by the Brigade indicates the incident is on the stretch of London Road between the station area and Court Drive.
