Small squeaky red things by Maydelia Bellew, Newstead Wood

Rainbows is the first step someone takes into the guiding world and are often described as ‘small squeaky red things’ by the rest of the community. Today, 1st Hayes Rainbows had it’s first ever meeting. However, behind the scenes, lots goes on to make the sessions as fun as possible. Not only do leaders work hard, but they often have the help of young leaders, who are volunteers aged 14-17. Although people may choose to take part in order to complete their Duke of Edinburgh or
