On 17 November, the highly anticipated Autumn Statement arrived. The Chancellor announced a stark plan to ease the cost-of-living crisis, tackle the huge budget deficit, and keep the financial markets satisfied. The plan came with many tax cuts, hikes, and freezes as well as budget reshuffles in the hope of filling the £55 billion fiscal hole.
