Haringey Council agrees not to fell Stroud Green tree

Campaigners have hailed a "massive climbdown" by Haringey Council after it settled in a court battle over the felling of a 123-year-old plane tree with Stroud Green man Andrew Brenner, who wants to save it despite insurance companies blaming it for causing subsidence at his house.
