Without a doubt, the period of 2020-2021 were the most turbulent years for commercial aviation in its entire history, with an unprecedented level of aircraft retirements and staff redundancies from the industry globally. But what was it like to experience the Coronavirus pandemic first-hand from the cockpit of a major airline? I spoke to Attique Qamar, senior pilot at United Airlines, to find out about his career and how his position has been affected by the pandemic.
