Easter signifies the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which healed the fractured relationship (that was caused by original sin) between God and humanity. For many Christians, the days leading up to Easter would involve asking forgiveness and repenting on the sins they have committed, for they believe that through the blood of Christ, their sins will be washed away.
