Do Grammar schools have a negative impact on students? Interview by Liam Jenkins Farringtons School

Grammar schools are often described as prestigious and exclusive. However, people do not often ask about what the impact of being pushed to achieve ‘excellence’ has on students, academically and emotionally.  I spoke to my sister, AJ, who is in year 12 about her experience at a Grammar School and the advantages and disadvantages of the Grammar School environment. AJ said that her school is “very competitive, people often talk about their grades and want to ‘beat&rsqu
